Hello everyone! It’s been a minute but I’m glad to be back to writing again. I’m happy to report that I found a lot of inspiration these past few months and got the creative motors running — trust me it will be running for a while. So stay tuned cos a lot is cooking (Blog + Vlog).

Warner Springs is a small, lowkey and quaint community in northern San Diego County, California. It is known for some National Historic Landmarks. Lots of hiking spots and trails (there was literally a few inside our Airbnb property) and a popular area for gliding due to the topography of the area. Something I’ll be coming back for, that’s for sure! But other than that, there’s really not much there, and that’s the appeal when you want to unplug. The nearest grocery to our Airbnb was an hour drive away and the nearest restaurant is 30mins away so I think you get the picture.

WHERE WE STAYED.
When my friends asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday, I remember saying one thing - unplug. And that’s exactly what I did! Drove to Warner Springs to stay in the Bluebird Tiny House Backcountry Retreat with Sandy!
INSPIRATION OF THE HOME.
This 1960's vintage horse trailer was reimagined into a Tiny house by Lane and Laurie. It started as a "couples project" in 2018 in which they completely gutted and remodeled using beautiful natural materials, old fashioned wood cabinetry, handmade ceramic tiles and woven bamboo.
The best way to describe it is farmhouse - meets palapa - meets Audubon because of all the bird art. Bluebird Tiny House is tucked into a secluded forest meadow, named for the bluebirds that spend part of the year there.

DOG FRIENDLY.
Dog owners + lovers are welcome! Sandy had a blast running around unleashed in the fenced yard - lots of space for your pup to roam and explore, while keeping them close by. They definitely prioritize the enjoyment and safety of our fur babies here because they have their own! We had the pleasure of meeting one of the fur babies upon check in, a corgi too named Chester! 🐶
OTHER PROPERTIES.
The owner has a few other Airbnb spaces around the property so when you walk to the hiking trails they have set up for you, you’ll see the other spots. You can rent one at a time or multiple if you have a large party! If you wanna check them out, click here.
TO WRAP IT UP.
Remember what I said in my Instagram post at the beginning of the year? “This year is going to be filled with magic, I can feel it! Remember, if this life doesn’t look like how your soul feels, keep on going.” It’s the middle of the year now and it’s truly living up to it.
