Hello to all my blog followers, I know it’s been a while since I made a post, so I hope there’s still some of you out there! And if this is your first time here… Hi, I’m Lexie, the human being behind this blog. It’s been a hot minute and by that I mean my last post was 5 months ago! Oh, who am I kidding, it’s actually been 7 months. A lot has happened in the past few months, but to put it in a nutshell, I moved out from my parent’s home and flew half way across the world to a new city, sold everything I had and put a pin on my blogging career that I had built for 3 years, and by that I mean having to decline countless opportunities and miss out on so many events since I’m away in a new country. At the same time, I miss hanging out with my friends who share the same interests as me and basically just get me like that! We all know what FOMO feels like... Knowing that you’ll be missing out on birthdays and special occasions and won’t be physically there for your friends when they absolutely need you – I’ll have another blog post dedicated to this specifically.

If you’re intrigued and want to stay tuned for more of the things I’ve been going through lately, can follow me on Instagram @lexiepuzon.

So now that we got that out in the open, I want to share with you the recent trip that I went on and why are a must! It was so great that we’re already planning the next one as we speak!

Though social media can be toxic in its own way, it is also undeniable that this new wave of apps like Uber, Turo, Airbnb, etc. So much more convenient and also providing us with new ways to unplug from our stressful lives. For me to plan a and find the exact vibe I was looking for in my accommodations. I found this beautiful private room in a newly renovated home owned by the coolest and most well-travelled young couple in town, Karlee and Michael, and their two furry babies Lucy and Milo. They were definitely a highlight of the trip and my Instagram stories.

The space is beautiful, a place that they built basically from scratch. The before and after photos were unbelievable and when Michael was telling the story, it just amazed me how he had such a bold vision, and even though it was difficult to see from others’ perspective, he was so passionate about seeing it through. In a way, it’s like a special power or I would like to believe so. The transformation was insane!

Every corner of the place is photogenic, and there’s even more additions coming soon. Stay tuned on that! The interior is modern, clean and quality AF. Makes me dream of my future home, ’ know! The location is perfect with restaurants, cafés and stores within walking distance, and it was fun to walk around and explore the small but charming neighborhood. We had an amazing time, it was short but definitely worth it and much needed!

I came out inspired and reconnected with myself and the people around me. With all the huge changes I’ve been going through lately, the list of “to do’s” that never end and not to mention the homesickness - sometimes it can be overwhelming so this trip was such a breath of fresh air. I’m obsessed with the feeling of being somewhere new, discovering things like your new favorite curry place, or taking mental notes of places to go back to (since - means you don’t have to travel far from home) – but the best part is the amazing and inspiring people you get to meet!

Define chill and "that's my spot"

Now that you have read and seen all the photos above, if you’re still not convinced to plan your own, then my friend, I don’t know why you’ve read this far to begin with. But thanks for supporting my blog anyway and I hope one day you let the sunshine in to warm your cold heart! Lol Cheers xx
