BRAND TRUNK: OUR ONE-STOP SHOP
"Bloggers lift each other up," was me and Paige's topic of conversation as we headed to the ground floor ofr of Alabang Town Center (ATC), where Brand Truck was relaunching, just this past April 16th. In my two years of blogging, as I shared with Paige, I've only ever encountered fellow bloggers who were quick to share their tricks with me, despite the fact that some of them have been doing this way longer than I have. And from them, I had learned to do the same. It's a huge community that pushes each other to move forward, to be better and I couldn't ask for a more supportive community.
On Sunday evening, the night of Brand Trunk's relaunching, it turned out to be way more than just an evening of shopping. Well, there was that (definitely, am I right?), but it was the total revamping of Brand Trunk that wowed us. Paige & I have both been patrons of the to boutique since they opened last 2015, and we can definitely say that Brand Trunk is back and better than ever; in every possible way.
When Faith (the owner of the concept store) and her team were offered a spot, she just couldn't wait to get her hands on. The store was going to be located in ATC, where we’ve seen many stores occupy the rows, but only now with does Brand Truck it look the way it does now: chic. High ceilings with re-purposed wood light fixtures to add a rustic feel (the lighting was on point), industrial and wood shelving that gave shoppers a right-at-home vibe to keep us going (the clothes on the shelves? (Aww yes.); and, let's not forget the plethora of items from local brands - from cosmetics to baby clothes to your next insta-outfit (on-the-go shopping, anyone?).
How'd the relaunching go, y'all ask? It was wild. WILD. We didn't know where to start, but when the both us got going, we just couldn't stop. How do we even? See, from all the boutiques who share the concept of having shoppers' favorite online shops in one store, Brand Trunk surely pulled it off in the best way. Their team chose the best of the best of our local brands, and it surely showed; their wares had us shopping til’ we be (literally) dropping. And in words that Brand Trunk prides itself in: Local has never looked this good.
And now we've come full circle. See, the way we see it, it's not a far cry from "bloggers lift each other up" to "Filipinos lift each other up"- we ain't saying we don't, right? Because we do. A lot. We're proud of Pia Wurtzbach, our own Miss Universe; we're proud of Manny Pacquiao, our "Pambansang Kamao"; we're proud of Liza Soberano, known internationally for her beauty. We're so filled with Filipino Pride when Filipino individuals are recognized for their craft, so why don't we show the same appreciation for local brands? Look to ARRA rather than Zara, Sooper Beaute rather than MAC, and Artology rather than MUJI.
