CASA SAN MIGUEL, ZAMBALES
(Caution ahead, this post contains tons of images)
When my sister invited us for this trip, we definitely put our A-game as quick as we can. There's just something about roadtrips that makes it really fun for everyone! I'm not sure if it's the road, the music, the stopovers, the company, the conversations, the long naps and lastly, the escape. What the heck! It's pretty much everything I said. That's probably why we long for the road, it's because we find pieces of ourselves along the way. So, never stop travelling.
In this photos, sunlight comes through every shady tree and hits every beautiful hidden spots as if it was endless. Casting a glow on the garden as if it was from a movie that I've seen. This place came from a mess, a sad mess that in time turned into a beautiful mess.
We went to this place called Casa San Miguel which by the way, I've been itching to go ever since my sister showed me a picture of it. Casa San Miguel was established during the year 1993, not so long ago. The lot is massive and surrounded with plants and trees which makes the place beautiful. Can you believe that this is just the space for parking? Amazing, I know.
Casa San Miguel is now a school for gifted artists. They even have a summer camp where they could just stay there. The structure of the school is about 15-hectares ancestral farmland and seaside. Pretty huge, right?
There's an entrance fee of 100PHP to tour the whole place with unlimited Starbucks coffee included which was pretty cool. It's self-service though, but the staff was really friendly and accomodating.
This is the prettiest view of the whole place. Isn't it such a beauty? If you guys are looking for a place to shoot, you should definitely consider this one. Every corner is just absolutely photogenic. I'm sure loving this rustic brick house shrouded in flowering vines which by the way makes it more dramatic. Pure love with this place, a piece of my heart was found here because of it's beauty and story.
In the midst of the embracing greenery and peaceful surroundings, one is drawn to the unique art pieces hanged everywhere.
In between the tour and exploring around, I sure made it a point to squeeze in an #OOTD. Just making the most of the beautiful concrete. Plus it was almost a 5 hour drive going here from Manila so I sure will maximize my stay and take advantage of it.
Aside from the school and the museum, Casa San Miguel also has a restaurant, cafe, 100-seater concert hall, and accomodates bed and breakfast. Just when you thought the place couldn't get any better, it does. The food was delicious and kind on the budget too.
The whole place just keeps leaving more footsteps in our hearts and breathes in inspiration. This place is ideal for everyone who wants to have the escape not so far from the city. Also, great for artistics campus, retreats and workshops.
This is the outside part of the restaurant which I liked more cause of the view. It's just nice to look at new things while eating since this is not something you see everyday in the city.
That's my dad, all smiles everywhere since it's been a long time since he went out of town and he even got to bring out our dog Minnie. It's moments like this where I'm more grateful and contended with life.
This is the inside part of the restaurant.
My sister also brought her dog bugs. Bugs the explorer.
This was taken with my sister's new Samsung galaxy S6 which is one of my favorite shots from the trip. Mainly because I was holding his hand *hearts everywhere*
